In a shocking incident early Saturday morning, at least 30 people were injured—including seven critically—when a vehicle crashed into a crowd gathered outside The Vermont Hollywood nightclub in East Hollywood, Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the vehicle drove through a taco stand, smashed a valet podium, and struck dozens of people waiting in line to enter the music venue.

Firefighters responded quickly to the chaotic scene and began treating the injured. Capt. Adam VanGerpen, LAFD’s public information officer, confirmed the severity of the crash, describing how the vehicle "drove through a taco stand, through the valet podium, and then through the crowd of people that were waiting to go inside.”

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, and no further details about the driver or possible charges have been released at this time.
